Membership categories and fees
We have a membership category to suit you at every stage of your career, each with a range of benefits designed to meet your changing needs.
You can either sign up online if you're applying for Student membership, or complete our membership application form and return it to memberservices@iii.ie if you're applying for any of the other categories. Before signing up, be sure to check with your employer if they are signed up to our Corporate Approved Payment Scheme, as they could be sponsoring your membership.

Student
This category is for you if you are:
- new to the industry
- applying for qualifications for the first time
- looking to get a headstart on a career in insurance
Annual fee €115
Graduate
You'll be a graduate when:
- you have completed one of our qualifications
- you've earned your designation
- you gain access to our extensive CPD programme
Annual fee €210
Grandfathered
As a grandfathered member you can:
- gain access to our extensive CPD programme
- record and monitor your CPD progress throughout the year in one convenient location
- network with your peers at our member-exclusive events

Affiliate
This category is for you if:
- you'd like to access our online and face to face CPD
- you don't hold an Insurance Institute qualification or designation
- you do not wish to record CPD through our compliance system

Dual membership
This category is for you if you hold additional designations through the Chartered Insurance Institute, such as:
- ACII
- FCII
- Chartered status
Retired
This category is open to individuals who:
- have retired from employment
- no longer wish to maintain their professional designation
- wish to avail of our CPD, networking and social events
