Overview

Artificial intelligence is transforming the insurance industry. From underwriting and claims to customer service and fraud detection, AI is reshaping how insurance professionals work. Understanding these technologies is no longer optional—it is becoming an essential professional capability.

The AI in Insurance programme provides a practical introduction to artificial intelligence and generative AI, helping insurance professionals understand both the opportunities and responsibilities that come with AI adoption. Designed specifically for the insurance sector, the programme uses real-world insurance case examples and interactive activities to help participants explore how AI can be applied in practice

Insurance Skillnet Funding

A limited number of funded places are available for the September programme through the Insurance Skillnet. Organisations that are members of the Insurance Skillnet network may be be eligible for 20% funding towards the programme fee.

Programme Delivery

The programme combines flexible online learning with live interactive workshops delivered by experienced AI and insurance professionals.

Participants are required to complete three live online workshops (each lasting 2 hours) and one eLearning module to successfully complete the programme.

Throughout the programme, participants will:

  • Explore real insurance case studies
  • See demonstrations of leading AI tools
  • Develop practical prompt engineering skills
  • Participate in group discussions
  • Complete hands-on exercises based on real insurance scenarios

The emphasis throughout is on practical application, enabling participants to immediately apply their learning within their own organisations.
