I’ve earned my Certificate in Insurance Practice (CIP) designation, and I complete 15 hours CPD per year to keep my knowledge up to date. I’m growing into a leadership role, mentoring others and deepening my technical expertise. What do I do?

As an insurance broker, I need to possess a certain level of technical expertise in the following areas.

Technical expertise areas

Managing the customer’s needs and procuring insurance packages

I handle complex risks and have greater authority. I tailor insurance solutions, negotiate with insurers to secure best outcomes.

Analysing Data

I prepare market presentations, assess pricing trends, and use claims data to guide decisions.

Claims and renewals

I manage renewals, interpret claims history and recommend improvements to ensure clients get the right cover. I contribute to strategic planning and process improvements.
