Operating a CAPS facilitates greater efficiencies when it comes to the administration of Institute membership and staff engagement with education programmes.

 

Employer portal

Have oversight of your funded staff members' including CPD completion for graduate members and funded education programme applications and exam pass rates. Also, submit content for CPD accreditation.

Insurance Practitioner Apprenticeship

Apprenticeships are an exciting and proven way for employers to develop talent.

Funding

The initiative is Government supported, which means the tuition fees are funded and student fees are largely subsidised and payable by the apprentice

Fast-track to compliance

The apprentice gains the APA at the end of year one and the CIP/QFA at the end of year two.

CPD Accreditation

CPD activities are accredited in line with the guidelines of the Central Bank of Ireland MCC 2017, in particular the knowledge points associated with each CPD category. The Institute accreditation team have the knowledge and expertise to support member companies and externals during each stage of the accreditation process.

Frequently asked questions

  • Companies, large and small, can centrally transact with The Insurance Institute via CAPS facilitating greater efficiencies in the administration of interactions with funded company staff - whilst ensuring staff have continued access to Institute services in order to maintain their educational development and compliance.

    Participation in CAPS also gives companies access to the Employer Portal, which contains a suite of reports to help monitor funded staff’s logged CPD hours, exam attendance and pass/fail exam results throughout the year.

  • Companies can voluntarily sign up to CAPS to fund staff members annual membership fees, and potentially also fund exam registration fees if required – you can choose, and amend as required.

    There is no additional fee for the company to join this scheme – it really is just to help companies seamlessly renew/manage memberships and exam registrations and receive the invoice directly at the end of the month.
