The Insurance Institute on Eir Spiders shortlist
Nov 10 2016
A new website created by The Insurance Institute has been shortlisted for a 2016 Eir Spider Award in the ‘eLearning and Education’ category. Viewed by many as the most prestigious digital awards in Ireland, the Spiders recognise and reward Irish businesses for creativity and innovation in the digital space.
The Institute’s Careers in Insurance website has been designed to educate career starters, career changers, parents and guidance professionals on the vast range of opportunities available now in the insurance industry, including the newly-launched Insurance Practitioner Apprenticeship for which recruitment starts again in Spring 2017.
“We’re delighted to be shortlisted for such a prestigious award only two months after the site went live,” commented Anne Roberts, Marketing and Communications Manager at The Insurance Institute. “Careers in insurance just don’t get the attention they deserve. We wanted to encourage digital audiences to re-think this vibrant and dynamic industry.”
“The main part of the brief was aimed at addressing why insurance as a career choice simply wasn’t on the table” says Jennifer Grainger, Digital Experience Specialist at The Insurance Institute. “To do this successfully, we knew we needed to create a website that offered a seamless user experience and engaging content, so this recognition by the eirspiders team is a nod that we have done that”.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Wednesday 30 November, hosted by the Queen of Ireland Panti Bliss, in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.
