If you are accessing our student services for the first time and are not Grandfathered, you are categorised as a Student Member.
If you have completed one of our qualifications and are entitled to use the recognised designation, you’re classified as a Graduate. You’re subject to CPD requirements and can access all of our CPD material, both face to face and online. You can also record your CPD with us through our online facility.
Grandfathered Membership applies if you have been confirmed as Grandfathered by the Central Bank of Ireland, and can verify this to The Insurance Institute. As a Grandfathered Member, you are subject to CPD requirements and can access all of our CPD material, both face to face and online. You can also record your CPD with us through our online facility.
If you would like to access our online or face to face CPD materials but do not wish to record your CPD hours through our CPD recording facility, you can become an Affiliate Member. This category is only open to those who do not hold an Insurance Institute qualification or designation.
Dual Insurance Institute/CII
Insurance Institute members who have gone on to secure additional qualifications through the CII are entitled to Dual Membership of The Insurance Institute and CII. This is open to those who hold the following designations – ACII, FCII and Chartered. Become a dual member today
This category is open to individuals who have retired from active employment and no longer wish to maintain their professional designation, and who wish to continue to avail of our CPD, networking and social events.
